Job summary

Food Lion is seeking a Produce Department team member in Augusta, GA to deliver friendly, efficient service and maintain fresh, appealing displays.

You will support ordering, receiving, and merchandising while following safety guidelines and company policies to ensure a positive shopping experience for customers.

Ability to unload trucks, operate basic inventory tools, and work in a fast-paced environment are essential. Prior retail experience is helpful but not required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality customer service within the Produce Department and maintain standards per the standard practice manual.
• Courteous and helpful to other associates and customers.
• Ensure ordering, receiving, preparation, conditioning and displaying of merchandise follows policies and guidelines.
• Unload trucks for the Produce Department.
• Understand and use company tools such as average cost inventory system (ACIS) and ordering (CAO).
• Follow Food Lion guidelines and standard practice; adhere to policies.
• Follow Food Safety and Workplace Safety guidelines and procedures.
• Observe and correct unsafe conditions to prevent accidents.
• Report all accidents per Food Lion procedures to the Manager on Duty.
• Ensure compliance with local, state and federal regulations.
• Wear the Food Lion uniform and name badge; present neat appearance.
• Complete CBT, Training Packet and Training Aid courses.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
