Job summary

Food Lion is seeking a Perishable Department Associate to deliver friendly, efficient customer service and maintain high standards across the meat, dairy, and frozen sections. You will work within the Perishable Department to receive deliveries, rotate stock, and ensure accurate pricing and display according to Food Lion guidelines.

The role emphasizes safety, proper use of company systems (ACIS/CAO), and collaboration with store teams to minimize shrink and maximize customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication and customer service skills.
• Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
• Must meet minimum age requirements to perform specific job functions.
• Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position, with or without reasonable accommodations.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality customer service within the Perishable Department.
• Maintain an atmosphere of enthusiastic customer awareness with fast, friendly, and accurate service.
• Understand and use company tools such as ACIS and CAO.
• Receive deliveries, code where applicable, rotate and store merchandise.
• Maintain proper product levels in the Perishable Department including meat, dairy, and frozen goods.
• Follow Food Lion policies, safety guidelines, and dress code.
