Job summary

Food Lion is seeking a dedicated team member to provide quality customer service in the Perishable Department, maintaining standards and helping maximize sales.

You will assist with receiving, stocking, and displaying merchandise, follow safety guidelines, and support daily operations to create a positive shopping experience for customers.

This role requires attention to detail, the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and a willingness to learn company tools and procedures.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication and customer service skills.
• Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
• Ability to use technical information to solve problems.
• Must meet minimum age requirements to perform specific job functions.
• Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position, with or without reasonable accommodations.

Responsibilities

• Provide fast, friendly, and accurate customer service in the Perishable Department.
• Maintain product levels in meat, lunchmeat, frozen, dairy, and related sections.
• Receive deliveries, code where applicable, rotate and store properly.
• Ensure ordering, receiving, preparation, conditioning and displaying of merchandise per policies.
• Follow Food Safety and Workplace Safety guidelines and procedures.
• Maintain a neat, clean appearance and wear the Food Lion uniform.
