You will cut, wrap, and display fresh meat and seafood, assist customers, and maintain department quality and cleanliness under the Meat & Seafood Assistant Manager. This entry-level to mid-level position emphasizes teamwork and customer service.

Qualifications

• Some retail fresh meat/seafood cutting experience is preferred.
• Experience serving the public.
• Ability to project a friendly, outgoing personality.
• Ability to handle multiple demands.
• Ability to lift up to 60 lbs.
• Manual dexterity with hazardous equipment.
• Ability to stand for long periods.
• Ability to work in cold conditions.
• Regular, predictable attendance.

Responsabilités

• PRODUCTION: Grind meats and produce sausage; prepare and wrap meat, poultry, and seafood to spec; cut and wrap per guidelines.
• CUSTOMER SERVICE: Assist customers with product questions, offer suggestions, samples; wrap poultry/seafood to order; handle special orders; maintain displays; tag items.
• DEPARTMENT MAINTENANCE: Remove short-dated items; keep coolers and prep areas clean; sweep/mop; inventory; monitor temps; report equipment needs; assist with receiving.
• ALL STAFF DUTIES: Attend meetings; perform other tasks as assigned by Meat & Seafood Assistant Manager.
