Sprouts Farmers Market in Palm Harbor, FL is hiring a Meat Clerk to deliver excellent customer service while handling fresh meats in a fast-paced, friendly store environment. You will receive, store, grind meats and assist customers with questions and special orders, directing them to product locations.

This hands-on role emphasizes safety, knowledge of weekly ad items, and adherence to Clean as You Go and Fresh at 4 programs, with growth opportunities and a 15% household discount.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent; basic knowledge of math, weights and measures.
• Be dependable and reliable and perform other related duties as assigned.
• Outgoing and friendly demeanor; positive attitude and ability to interact with customers.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Good communication skills; ability to take direction and work in a team.
• General housekeeping in the department; clean and sanitize work areas.
• Adhere to safety, health, weights and measures regulations, and company recipes.
• Must be able to stand up to 4 hours at a time and up to 8 hours per shift; walk up to 2 miles per shift.
• Able to work in a temperature controlled area and maintain department cleanliness.
• Vision required for using knives and equipment; lifting up to 90 lbs., etc.
• Able to move pallets and racks with specified weights and distances.

Responsibilities

• Provide a high level of customer service; assist with questions and special orders.
• Receive, store, and grind meats; unload deliveries and rotate stock.
• Direct customers to product locations and follow department procedures.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and friendly work environment.
