Weaver Street Market is seeking a Prepared Foods Clerk to support vibrant, fresh meals and a welcoming customer experience. You will prepare hot bar, salad bar, sandwiches, and grab-and-go items, ensuring safe handling and attractive displays while following duties and shift routines.

Qualifications

• A working knowledge of English is required for this customer-facing role.
• 18+ years of age.
• Ability to use basic kitchen equipment safely and effectively.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service by answering questions, handling special orders, and ensuring satisfaction through follow-up.
• Prepare and serve hot bar, salad bar, sandwiches and grab-and-go items using safe food handling practices and established recipes.
• Stock and maintain all prepared foods areas, including the hot bar, salad bar, and self-service cases.
• Follow opening and closing procedures, including setup, cleanup, and accurate completion of shift checklists.
• Receive and stock deliveries accurately and efficiently.
• Bus and wash dishes, clean kitchen equipment, and take out trash, compost, and recycling.
• Prepare food and supplies for upcoming shifts or the next day’s service.
• Use Microsoft Teams to check department messages, store/unit updates, and co-op-wide news.
• Work independently and as part of a team to complete all assigned tasks.
• Address routine concerns; communicate non-routine issues to the department manager or manager on duty.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support the department and Weaver Street Market as a whole.
