Job summary

Whole Foods Market is seeking team members for our Prepared Foods department. You will assist with production, ensure proper labeling, dating, rotation, and quality, and document waste and spoilage to protect department profitability.

You will help customers understand product differences, maintain clean walk-ins and freezers, and contribute to a fast-paced, safety‑minded team environment with strong service standards.

Qualifications

• No prior retail experience required.
• Thorough knowledge of products and department standards.

Responsibilities

• Assists with production for all Prepared Foods venues.
• Ensures all prepared foods are properly labeled, dates, initialed, covered, and rotated.
• Documents waste and spoilage using appropriate forms.
• Arrives to work on time and attends trainings.
• Provides excellent customer service and uses suggestive selling techniques.
• Maintains clean, organized walk-ins and coolers.
• Performs opening, mid, and closing duties and ensures pricing accuracy.
• Reports safety hazards and violations promptly.
