Job summary

Whole Foods Market in Westport, CT is hiring for a Team Member in the Prepared Foods department. You will assist with hot and cold food preparation, customer service, stocking, and sanitation, while adhering to store SOPs and health standards.

You will engage with customers, support on-floor merchandise, and participate in trainings. The role requires teamwork, reliability, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Cuts, prepares, and serves a variety of hot and cold foods.
• Samples products to customers.
• Stocks hot and cold cases and displays with prepared foods.
• Checks in-stock product dates to ensure freshness.
• Assists Team Leader in organizing and displaying volume and seasonal items.
• Completes spoilage, sampling, temperature, and sweep worksheets as required.
• Assists with periodic inventory checks.
• Arrives to work station on time, appropriately groomed, dressed and ready to work.
• Provides excellent customer service, addresses needs of customers in a timely and effective manner and models suggestive selling techniques.
• Maximizes sales potential through effective prepping, storing, rotating, stocking, and merchandising.
• Follows and complies with health, sanitation, and safe work practices.
• Maintains a clean and sanitary working environment; maintains equipment according to standards.
• Performs opening, mid, and closing duties; ensures pricing accuracy.
• Reports safety hazards and violations.
