Job summary

Whole Foods Market Greenwich is seeking a team member for the Prepared Foods department. You will cut, prepare, and serve hot and cold foods, sample products for customers, and stock displays while maintaining a clean, safe work area.

The role emphasizes friendly, efficient service and adherence to health and safety standards. Responsibilities include assisting with inventory, rotating stock, and participating in required trainings.

Qualifications

• No prior retail experience required.
• Ability to learn basic knowledge of all products carried in department.
• Attention to detail and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Cuts, prepares, and serves a variety of hot and cold foods including sandwiches, pizzas, and salads.
• Samples products to customers.
• Stocks cases and displays with prepared foods from kitchen and walk-in prep areas.
• Checks in-stock dates to ensure freshness and rotates when necessary.
• Assists Team Leader in organizing and displaying products.
• Completes spoilage, sampling, temperature, and inventory worksheets.
• Provides excellent customer service and uses suggestive selling techniques.
• Follows health, sanitation, and safety procedures.
