Job summary

WinCo Foods in Boise, Idaho is seeking a Fresh Foods associate to support the Deli/Seafood/Pizza areas, assist customers, and help maintain fresh, safe products. You will stock, rotate, and prepare items while following food safety procedures and quality guidelines.

Typical shifts are 6–8 hours between early morning and evening, with a focus on friendly service and teamwork in a fast-paced grocery environment.

Qualifications

• Work varied shifts in a 24/7 operation, including night, weekends and holidays.
• Communicate effectively with customers to receive orders and perform customer relations.
• Read and follow production guides, recipes and product labels; log production quantities and temperatures.
• Perform basic math and compute weights and measures.
• Wear hair net, beard net and gloves and other PPE as required.
• Must be 16 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

• Welcomes, engages, serves, and thanks customers with friendly service.
• Takes orders, answers questions, and performs suggestive selling.
• Prepares, stocks, displays, and rotates products in Deli/Seafood/Pizza areas.
• Prepares production items according to recipes and food safety procedures.
• Maintains cleanliness and sanitation of department equipment and work areas.
• Inspects product quality and freshness; ensures proper signage and dating.
