Job summary

Meijer is seeking a Food Clerk to deliver friendly, knowledgeable service in our Fresh departments. You will engage customers, share product details, and maintain appealing displays while supporting multiple departments to keep the store running smoothly.

The role emphasizes teamwork, safety, and efficient use of store technology. Prior retail or food experience is helpful but not required; physical activity is part of daily duties.

Responsibilities

• Build positive connections with customers and teammates.
• Share product knowledge and help customers find what they need.
• Maintain full, fresh, and visually appealing product displays.
• Stock, rotate, and merchandise product according to standards.
• Use technology to complete tasks efficiently and accurately.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and quality procedures.
• Work across departments including Meat, Seafood, Bakery, Deli, Produce and Grocery.
• Support other tasks as needed to keep operations running smoothly.
