Job summary

Meijer Inc. is seeking a Food Clerk to deliver exceptional customer service and maintain welcoming, well-run Fresh departments. You will build positive connections with customers, share product knowledge, and help shoppers find what they need.

You will stock and rotate displays, use technology to complete tasks, and follow food safety and quality procedures. No prior experience required, but helpful for a faster start in a busy retail environment.

Responsibilities

• Build positive connections with customers and teammates.
• Share product knowledge and help customers find what they need.
• Maintain full, fresh, and visually appealing product displays.
• Stock, rotate, and merchandise product according to standards.
• Use technology to complete tasks efficiently and accurately.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and quality procedures.
• Work across departments including Meat, Seafood, Bakery, Deli, Produce and Grocery.
• Support other tasks as needed to keep operations running smoothly.
