Meijer is seeking a Food Clerk to create a fresh, welcoming store experience in our Fresh departments. You will help customers, share product knowledge, stock displays, and use store technology to complete tasks accurately.

No prior experience is required, but a customer‑first mindset and strong communication are valued. This role offers weekly pay, team member discounts, and opportunities for growth within a family‑oriented company.

Qualifications

• Customer-first mindset required or encouraged.
• Ability to learn and use store technology.
• Willingness to lift, bend, twist, and stand for extended periods.
• Experience in retail or food service is helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

• Build positive connections with customers and teammates.
• Share product knowledge and help customers find what they need.
• Maintain full, fresh, and visually appealing product displays.
• Stock, rotate, and merchandise products according to standards.
• Use technology to complete tasks efficiently and accurately.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and quality procedures.
• Work across departments including Meat, Seafood, Bakery, Deli, Produce and Grocery.
• Support other tasks as needed to keep operations running smoothly.
