Job summary

Meijer is seeking a Food Clerk to deliver outstanding customer service and maintain clean, organized Fresh department displays. You will engage with customers, share product knowledge, and ensure shelves are fully stocked and visually appealing.

Applicants should be friendly, have strong communication skills, and be comfortable using store technology. No prior retail experience is required, though helpful, and physical tasks such as lifting and standing are part of the role.

Responsibilities

• Create a welcoming store experience in Fresh departments.
• Share product knowledge and help customers find items.
• Maintain full, fresh, and visually appealing displays.
• Stock, rotate, and merchandise per standards.
• Use technology to complete tasks efficiently and accurately.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and quality procedures.
• Work across Meat, Seafood, Bakery, Deli, Produce and Grocery.
• Support other tasks to keep operations running smoothly.
