Job summary

Stauffers of Kissel Hill is hiring a part-time Team Member at our Lititz Pike Fresh Foods location. Part-time shifts run 7am–7pm with flexible weekends. Starting wage is $14.00 per hour and benefits include weekly pay, 10% employee discount, and an employee referral bonus.

Responsibilities include bagging groceries, handling payments, balancing cash drawer, and assisting customers with pricing procedures. Basic math and ability to lift up to 30 lbs are required.

• Counts money in cash drawer at beginning and end of shift.
• Follows procedures for register systems.
• Gathers and stocks grocery carts as needed.
• Familiar with Fresh Foods and Home & Garden pricing procedures.
• Promotes store events per company policies.
• Records daily sales from register to balance drawer.
• Reviews sales fliers to know advertised specials.
• May perform Online Shopper duties.

Responsibilities

• Bags Groceries.
• Collects cash, check, or charge payments from customers and makes change for cashtransactions.
• Counts money in cash drawer at beginning and end of work shift.
• Follows procedure for all processes on register systems.
• Gathers and stocks grocery carts in the prescribed manner, where applicable.
• Is knowledgeable regarding Fresh Foods and Home & Garden pricing procedures.
• Promotes special store events, following company procedures.
• Records daily transaction amounts from cash register to balance cash drawer.
• Records prices and departments, subtotals taxable items, and totals purchases on cash register.
• Reviews sales fliers weekly to be aware of advertised specials.
• May perform Online Shopper duties.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform basic mathmatical calculations such as adding & subtracting using multiple digitnumbers & units of weight &/or American currency.
