Overview

Wage: $14.00 an hour

This is a part-time day cashier position at our Rohrerstown Fresh Foods, requiring flexible availability from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Sunday.

Responsibilities

1. Bags groceries.
2. Collects cash, check, or charge payments from customers and makes change for cash transactions.
3. Counts money in cash drawer at the beginning and end of each shift.
4. Follows procedures for all processes on register systems.
5. Gathers and stocks grocery carts in the prescribed manner, where applicable.
6. Is knowledgeable regarding Fresh Foods and Home & Garden pricing procedures.
7. Promotes special store events, following company procedures.
8. Records daily transaction amounts from the cash register to balance the cash drawer.
9. Records prices and departments, subtotals taxable items, and totals purchases on the cash register.
10. Reviews sales flyers weekly to be aware of advertised specials.
11. May perform Online Shopper duties.

Qualifications

1. Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations such as adding and subtracting using multiple-digit numbers and units of weight and/or American currency.
2. Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
3. Must be at least 16 years old.
