Job summary

Love's Travel Stops is hiring a Fresh Food Coordinator in Waterloo, IA to oversee fresh kitchen operations, quality, and presentation while maintaining safety and sanitation standards.

You will assist the Fresh Food Manager, coach team members, manage inventory and ordering, and support pricing and promotions to meet profitability goals. This role requires physical ability to lift 25+ pounds and work in varied temperatures within our busy kitchen environment.

• Assist in task execution under supervision of Fresh Food Manager.

Fresh Food Coordinators play a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our fresh kitchens. You will assist in overseeing the preparation, presentation, and quality of fresh food items while maintaining safety and sanitation standards. Job Functions:

• Ensure a safe, clean, and well-maintained kitchen, along with adherence to proper food safety procedures
• Assist the Fresh Food Manager with proper task execution and completion while following effective safety practices
• Work with and coach the team to prepare and package fresh kitchen items in a timely manner to maximize customer service expectations and results
• Manage food inventory and ordering supplies to ensure stock is fresh and adequate
• Coordinate with suppliers and manage waste reduction efforts
• Assist in pricing, promotions, and ensure the deli meets profitability goals
• Ability to move, lift 25+ pounds. Ability to work in various temperatures
• Additional duties could include cross training in other departments such as Store Cashier, Restaurant Team Member, facility maintenance, and leadership roles.
