Job summary

Yesway, Inc. is seeking a Senior Category Manager – Fresh Food and Dispensed Beverages to provide day-to-day administrative and operational support to execute Fresh Food merchandising strategies across our growing network of stores.

You will assist with reports, presentations, and materials for category reviews, support planograms and assortments, coordinate promotions with suppliers, and collaborate with cross-functional teams including Marketing, Operations, and Supply Chain.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 1–3 years of experience in retail merchandising or related retail operations roles.
• Experience with product data, merchandising systems, foodservice programs, or reporting systems.
• Strong organizational and analytical skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Limited travel may be required (approximately 5% or less).

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day administrative and operational support to the Senior Category Manager – Fresh Food and Dispensed Beverages.
• Assist with reports, presentations, and materials for category reviews, supplier meetings, and internal planning discussions.
• Support development, implementation, and maintenance of Fresh Food assortments, merchandising standards, and planograms.
• Coordinate internal and supplier communication related to promotions, assortment updates, new product launches, and category initiatives.
• Collaborate with the Category Specialist – Dispensed Beverages to cross-train and provide backup support during vacations, absences, and peak periods.
• Pull, organize, and analyze POS, margin, waste, and category performance data to support decision-making.
