Job summary

Yesway is seeking a Category Specialist to support the Packaged Beverages category under the Senior Category Manager. This role provides day-to-day administrative and operational support to execute merchandising strategies and ensure accurate item data.

You will help prepare reports and materials for category reviews, assist with planograms, promotions, and cross-functional coordination with suppliers, stores, and internal teams to drive category performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Merchandising, or related field preferred.
• 1-3 years of experience in retail merchandising or related retail operations.
• Experience with product data and merchandising systems or reporting systems preferred.
• Strong organizational and analytical skills in a fast-paced environment.
• Limited travel may be required (approximately 5% or less).

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day administrative and operational support to execute merchandising strategies.
• Assist with preparation of reports, presentations, and materials for category reviews and vendor meetings.
• Support development, implementation, and maintenance of planograms with Space Planning team.
• Coordinate internal and supplier communication related to promotions, assortment updates, and category initiatives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent execution across the Packaged Beverages category.
