Hours of operation are seven days a week. Specific scheduling for this position will be discussed during the interview process and will adjust based on the fluctuation of business and holidays.Reporting RelationsAccountable and Reports to: President, Vice President, Operations, General Manager, & Central Design SupervisorPositions that Report to you: NonePrimary Duties and Responsibilities:Designs and fills customer orders.Understands the basics of floral products, care, and handling.Inventories product, cares for damaged product, and replaces where necessary.Ensures floral products are fresh.Understands proper packaging techniques for completed floral arrangements.Keeps the floral work area clean and tidy.Works with co-workers as a team to ensure customer satisfaction and a pleasant work environment.Performs miscellaneous other duties as necessary.Reports to work when scheduled and on time; and weekends as needed.Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Worker Characteristics:Must be customer service driven and able to communicate clearly and effectively.Must have basic working knowledge of computer use, to include Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook e-mail and calendars. Able to operate menu driven computer programs with mouse, 10 key keypad, and alpha numeric keyboard.Ability to read and obey MSDS information on products.Able to add, subtract, multiply and divide whole numbers.Must have the ability to carry out detailed written and verbal instructions.Must be able to file, post, sort, and organize materials, paperwork and software used.Education and Experience:High School or equivalent; an understanding of customer service, knowledge of fresh flowers - design experience is required.Physical Requirements:Must be able to perform light to moderate physical work; exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, 20 pounds of force frequently, and 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.Visual requirements include vision from less than 20 inches to more than 20 feet with or without correction, depth perception, color vision, and field of vision.Must be able to perform the following physical activities: stooping, kneeling, reaching, handling, grasping, talking, climbing, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, hearing, and repetitive motions.Must be able to perform work duties in a refrigerated environment.Working Conditions:The duties of this position are performed in a refrigerated setting. There is frequent exposure to noise and continual exposure to temperature changes.Equipment Used To Perform Job:Fresh flower cutter, knife, pallet jack, four-wheel carts, and strapper.
