Job summary

The Winn-Dixie Company is seeking a Fresh Manager to lead our Produce, Floral, Meat & Seafood, Deli & Bakery departments. This working management role balances hands-on supervision with strategic planning to maximize sales, profitability, and customer satisfaction.

You will develop teams, maintain high standards of service and safety, manage inventory and labor, and ensure compliance with all regulations to deliver a premier in-store experience in our Jacksonville location.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age.
• Authorization to work in the United States or ability to obtain.
• Pre-employment background check and drug screening required.
• Proficient with point-of-sale and computer applications used in store operations.
• Strong interpersonal, motivational and communication skills.
• Food Safety Certification or ability to obtain within 180 days.
• High integrity and reliability.
• Excellent customer service and issue resolution abilities.

Responsibilities

• Leads and empowers Fresh department teams to deliver an outstanding shopping experience aligned with company goals and policies.
• Manages in-stock conditions, inventory, shrink and expenses, including labor and supply planning.
• Trains and coaches department managers on KPIs, product stock, customer service, and safety compliance.
• Oversees recruiting and onboarding of new associates and ensures timely performance training.
• Ensures compliance with federal, state, and company health, safety, and sanitation codes.
