Qualifications

• Previous cooking, restaurant, deli, catering, or food-service experience is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of cooking methods and safe food-handling practices.
• Ability to follow recipes and produce consistent results.
• Strong attention to food quality, cleanliness, and presentation.
• Dependable, punctual, and able to work well as part of a team.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and regularly lift up to 50 pounds.
• Must be available to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays as scheduled.

Responsibilities

• Cook and prepare entrées, side dishes, soups, sandwiches, salads, and other prepared foods.
• Follow established recipes, cooking procedures, and portion standards.
• Prepare products for the hot case, cold case, and grab-and-go area.
• Operate ovens, fryers, grills, slicers, and other food-preparation equipment.
• Monitor cooking and holding temperatures to ensure food safety and quality.
• Ensure food meets our standards for taste, appearance, freshness, and consistency.
• Package, label, price, and stock prepared foods.
• Rotate ingredients and finished products using proper date procedures.
• Maintain appropriate production levels while minimizing waste.
• Keep cooking areas, equipment, utensils, coolers, and floors clean and sanitary.
• Follow all food-safety, sanitation, and workplace-safety procedures.
• Assist customers and provide friendly, helpful service
• Help prepare catering orders, holiday meals, and other special orders when needed.
