Job summary

Save More Food Market in Minocqua, WI is seeking a Deli Supervisor to lead daily deli operations. This hands-on leadership role emphasizes teamwork, customer service, and food quality in a busy fresh department.

You will work with the Deli Manager to guide staff, manage daily production and service levels, and ensure sanitation and safety standards are upheld while maintaining high presentation and speed for customers.

Qualifications

• Previous deli, food-service, restaurant, grocery, or retail experience preferred.
• Previous supervisory or leadership experience is a plus.
• Strong customer-service and communication skills.
• Ability to coach employees and hold the team accountable to department standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on leadership and direction to deli team members throughout the shift
• Help coordinate daily production, food preparation, stocking, cleaning, and customer service
• Ensure deli cases, hot foods, grab-and-go items, and service areas remain full, fresh, clean, and appealing
• Maintain high standards for food quality, freshness, presentation, and portion control
• Ensure proper food safety, sanitation, temperature, dating, and rotation procedures are followed
• Train and coach employees on department procedures and customer-service expectations
• Help organize workflow and assign responsibilities based on business needs
• Monitor product levels and communicate production and ordering needs to department leadership
• Help control shrink and waste through proper production planning, rotation, and product handling
• Assist with inventory, merchandising, promotions, and seasonal programs
• Respond to customer questions and concerns and help create a positive shopping experience
• Help maintain department standards during the Deli Manager's absence
• Work alongside the team wherever needed to get the job done
