Job summary

Safeway is hiring a Fresh Cut Produce Clerk to handle fresh fruits and vegetables, including slicing, dicing, and packaging produce to perfection. You’ll check freshness, keep prep areas clean, and build attractive displays while assisting with inventory and restocking.

A positive attitude and teamwork are essential. You’ll also contribute to customer service, ensuring quality and freshness standards, and help create a welcoming shopping experience for our customers in a fast-paced store

Qualifications

• Prior grocery/food prep experience preferred.
• Knife skills and safety awareness.
• Ability to identify fresh produce and follow food safety guidelines.
• Friendly, customer-service oriented with clear communication.
• Capable of multitasking and managing time in a fast-paced environment.
• Commitment to cleanliness and organization.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs.
• Team-oriented with willingness to support colleagues.
