Job summary

Safeway is seeking a Fresh Cut Produce Clerk to handle prep, slicing, packaging and display of fresh fruits and vegetables. You’ll help with inventory, restocking and delivering friendly customer service in a fast-paced environment.

You will contribute to clean workspaces, safe handling of produce, and a positive store culture, working collaboratively with teammates in a grocery setting.

Qualifications

• Food prep experience in grocery, food service or produce prep preferred.
• Knife skills and safety awareness when handling prep tools.
• Ability to identify quality produce and follow food safety guidelines.
• Friendly, helpful attitude with customers and clear communication.
• Ability to juggle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Commitment to a clean, sanitary and organized workspace.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 40 lbs.
• Willingness to support fellow associates and store culture.
