Job summary

Togetherhood is seeking versatile Teaching Artists who are intermediate-to-fluent in French to lead engaging after-school classes in arts and enrichment. You will create age-appropriate curricula and foster a warm, inclusive learning environment.

Paid per class or per student under a contracted 1099 arrangement, you’ll deliver in-person sessions and track student growth. Expect $90–$120 per hour depending on class and partner school.

What You’ll Do

We are seeking versatile Teaching Artists and Enrichment Providers who are intermediate-to-fluent-level in French to lead engaging, hands‑on classes. You will be responsible for creating a supportive environment where students can explore their interests, develop new skills, and express themselves.

  • Develop age‑appropriate visual arts, performing arts, textile arts, or similar curriculum for after‑school students

  • Lead weekly in‑person classes with enthusiasm and expertise

  • Establish a well‑structured and lively classroom that keeps students engaged

  • Foster a positive, supportive, and encouraging learning environment for students of varying skill levels

  • Build connections with students in a warm and inclusive environment

Who You Are
  • Proficient in the visual arts, performing arts, textile arts, or similar and confident leading your own class

  • Energetic, creative, and skilled at engaging young learners

  • Reliable, professional, and enthusiastic about working with students

  • Able to create positive class community and build relationships with students

  • Flexible and able to adapt teaching methods to meet individual student needs

  • Passionate about arts, creativity and connection

  • Has a strong work ethic and do whatever it takes mind set

$90 - $120 an hour

Teachers in the Togetherhood network are paid per class, either flat rate or per‑student (determined by the partner school). This is contracted, supplemental 1099 work. There is a separate materials budget for teachers to use for classes requiring one.
