Job summary

Global Village Academy in Aurora, CO is seeking an on-call Substitute Teacher to provide meaningful instruction when the regular teacher is absent. You will follow lesson plans, foster a productive learning environment, maintain routines, and support student success throughout the day.

Position is on-call with no guaranteed hours. Compensation ranges per license: $155/day without a CDE license, $165 with a substitute license, $180 with a teaching license, up to $200 for long-term substitutes;

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required or equivalent.
• Colorado Substitute Authorization or Teacher License preferred.
• Strong classroom management and ability to follow lesson plans.
• Adaptability to different classroom environments and student needs.
• Professionalism and reliability in teaching and student engagement.

Responsibilities

• Report to Front Desk/Administrative Assistant on arrival.
• Maintain classroom routines and expectations.
• Implement lesson plans and follow curriculum.
• Monitor student behavior during class and transitions.
• Take daily attendance and maintain records.
• Follow school policies and communicate with teachers/administration.
• Ensure classroom is left clean and organized at day end.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
