Job description

Description: French Adjunct Faculty (Salary: $1,000 per credit, Classification: Adjunct Faculty, Reports to: Dean of Social Sciences & Humanities).

This position will be part-time French Language faculty, teaching primarily French I, French II and French III. Teaching will be required during the day (8:00 AM - 3:15 PM) and evenings as required (5:00 PM - 7:15 PM).

Responsibilities

• Provide quality teaching, including preparation, grading, and record keeping.
• Provide class syllabi to students and the division office by the first day of classes.
• Identify individual learning needs of students and make appropriate adjustments.
• Communicate punctually with students, faculty, staff, and administrators.
• Perform other related duties as assigned and/or required.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in French Language or directly related area from an accredited college or university.
• Teaching experience.
• Must be available to teach during the day.

Preferred Qualifications

• PhD in French.
• College teaching experience.

Additional Information: The position is an adjunct faculty position contracted on a quarterly basis, with salary determined based on educational qualifications and applicable credits. The employee must reside in Washington State and be within a reasonable distance of the campus.
