The Chronicle Of Higher Education, Inc. is seeking an adjunct faculty member to create a dynamic teaching environment for students. All adjunct faculty positions have as their primary objective to create a dynamic teaching/learning environment for our students, while contributing service to the college. Adjunct faculty responsibilities include teaching assigned courses and following the course description and course outline established by the department. Teaching schedules may include day/evening courses and online/hybrid instruction. In accordance with the Adjunct Faculty collective bargaining agreement (CBA), additional responsibilities may include participation in departmental initiatives, such as assessment, and responding to requests regarding grades, grade submissions, and other course-related content.
A minimum of a Master’s degree from a regionally accredited institution in French (Literature or Linguistics), French/European Area Studies, or related field.
Prior college or university teaching experience preferred.
Native or near-native fluency in French. Demonstrated knowledge of language teaching and learning methodologies and techniques. Familiarity with learning management systems desired. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
