The conductor will oversee safe and efficient train operations and handling of customer freight under FRA, AAR, and company rules. Essential duties include switching railcars, coordinating with the engineer and dispatchers, and maintaining accurate paperwork and records for routing and billing.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Safety sensitive position with strict compliance rules.
• Must be able to travel >95% and work nights/weekends.

Responsibilities

• Understand and adhere to operating and safety rules and train orders.
• Switch railcars to form trains and coordinate with the engineer and dispatchers.
• Record train movements and keep accurate records for billing and routing.
