Responsibilities

• Develop and prepare competitive air and ocean freight pricing for customers and sales teams.
• Obtain and analyze rates from airlines, ocean carriers, NVOCCs, and other transportation providers.
• Review market conditions, carrier rates, fuel surcharges, accessorial charges, and other pricing variables.
• Prepare spot quotes, customer quotations, RFQs, RFPs, and tender pricing.
• Analyze historical pricing and shipment data to identify trends and opportunities.
• Work closely with sales and operations teams to ensure pricing is accurate and commercially viable.
• Negotiate rates with carriers and service providers where appropriate.
• Maintain and update rate sheets, pricing databases, and carrier tariffs.
• Ensure quotations are completed accurately and within required deadlines.
• Monitor competitor pricing and market movements.
• Support the development of pricing strategies to improve profitability and gross margins.
• Review existing customer rates and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Assist with large-volume bids and strategic account pricing.
• Ensure all pricing complies with company guidelines and contractual agreements.
• Maintain accurate records of quotations, rates, and pricing activity.

This role will be responsible for supporting the pricing and commercial functions across the business, developing competitive freight rates, analyzing market conditions, and preparing accurate quotations for customers and the sales team. The ideal candidate will have strong freight forwarding and pricing experience and a solid understanding of international air and ocean transportation.
