Job summary

Rhenus Logistics in Cranford, New Jersey seeks an experienced professional to drive operational excellence across the U.S. network. You will lead cross-functional projects, coordinate process improvements, and align updates with regional priorities, creating standardized workflows and strong KPI reporting.

You will also plan system rollouts, support operating-model changes, ensure data quality, and partner with regional leadership to set priorities and track progress.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in business, logistics, supply chain, engineering, IT, or related field.
• 5–10 years of freight forwarding or logistics operations experience with process improvement responsibilities.
• Experience leading cross-functional improvement projects and change management.
• Strong analytical, KPI, and root-cause analysis capabilities.
• Willingness to travel as business needs require.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate operational excellence initiatives across the U.S. network aligned with regional priorities.
• Plan and support operating model changes including country-to-regional in-sourcing and A–Z to front-end/back-end redefines.
• Monitor data quality and investigate recurring issues with operations teams to implement corrective actions.
• Review, document, standardize, and improve processes with commercial, finance, IT, and support functions.
• Develop and maintain operational KPI reporting and translate findings into improvement plans.
• Manage branch requests for process and system enhancements and prioritize via regional demand management.
• Coordinate resources for approved changes ensuring clear ownership and timely execution.
• Apply regional operational audit framework to evaluate compliance, data integrity, and service performance.
• Benchmark branch performance and share best practices across the network.
• Partner with regional leadership to define and track short-, medium-, and long-term priorities.
• Lead cross-functional improvement projects and support change management.
