Job summary

Amazon Freight in Tempe, AZ is seeking a Transportation Specialist to help resolve daily freight issues across the North American network. You will engage with carriers/drivers and internal teams to keep shipments on schedule and clear disruptions quickly.

Ideal candidates bring experience in customer service, transportation or supply chain, plus strong communication and problem-solving skills. This is a fast-paced, high-volume environment with growth opportunities and overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of working with computers and Microsoft Office (including Outlook, Word, and Excel) experience.
• High school or equivalent diploma.
• Work 40 hours/week, and overtime as required.
• Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.
• Are 18 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

• Deliver outstanding carrier and driver experience/solutions in a contact center environment through researching, problem-solving, setting appropriate expectations and working within the Amazon Transportation network to get trailers/trucks back on track when disruptions occur.
• Work in fast-paced environment, and adhere to schedules: start/stop, and breaks/lunches; calls will be monitored and recorded for training and compliance purposes.
• Support workload surges and/or weather-related operations; overtime during high-volume peaks.
• Use internal systems to gather data from multiple sources to support daily execution and reporting (WIMS, FMC, YMS, AAP).
• Help write standard work for both the internal team and field teams.
• Work with cross-functional teams; use analytical skills to drive data-driven decisions and communicate insights across stakeholders.
