Job summary

Gordon Food Service Lithia Springs distribution center is seeking a Freight Handler to support order processing and pallet sortation. No prior warehouse experience required; on-the-job training provided.

Shifts: 1st shift 5am–2pm, Sunday through Thursday, with Fridays and Saturdays off. Starting pay is $18.60 per hour, plus incentives and benefits from day one, including weekly pay and a company-supported 401(k).

Responsibilities

• Break down pallets of inbound freight and sort product by item code onto new pallets.
• Assist replenishment team by placing sorted pallets into inventory.
• Support order processing and delivery operations as needed.

Freight Handler

Distribution Center Address: 1500 N. River Road, Lithia Springs, GA

Pay: Starting at $18.60/hr

• Plus, any performance incentives, bonuses, etc.

Work Schedule:

• Sunday - Thursday work week, with Friday and Saturdays off
• 1st Shift from 5am to approximately 2pm finish time (shifts vary based on work volume)

Gordon Food Service takes pride in delivering seamless order processing and delivery to our customers, and our warehouse staff is the backbone of our success. As a freight handler, you'll support our team by breaking down pallets of inbound freight and sorting the product by item code onto new pallets so it can be put into inventory by our replenishment team. There's no experience required - we'll train you how to get the job done!

Does this look like you?

• You must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must be able to work holidays, weekends, and overtime as needed - holidays are very important to our customers!
• We have frozen products - your ability to work in extreme cold or hot conditions (-25F to 100F) is required while you're here.
• Must be able to read, write and communicate in English.
• Successfully pass a drug test that will assess drug usage and a background check.
• Prior warehouse experience preferred, but not required.
