Job description

Position Summary

Complies with company policies, procedures and standards of ethics and integrity by implementing related action plans using the Open Door Policy and applying them in executing business processes and practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate forklift following company standards and guidelines by safely picking up, moving, placing, and positioning merchandise pallets.
  • Complete work assignments and priorities using policies, data, and resources, collaborating with managers, coworkers, customers, and other business partners to identify priorities, deadlines, and expectations, carry out tasks, and communicate progress and information. Determine and recommend ways to address improvement opportunities and adapt to and learn from change, difficulties, and feedback.
  • Receive stocks and organize merchandise and supplies from distribution centers and suppliers throughout the facility, managing inventory flow following company policy and procedures. Utilize equipment appropriately for merchandising, working inventory exceptions, correcting shelf capacities, and completing and retaining required paperwork, logs, and other documentation.
  • Provide member service by acknowledging the member and identifying member needs, providing guidance and support regarding self‑service technology, assisting with purchasing decisions, locating merchandise, resolving member issues and concerns, and promoting company products and services.
  • Maintain safety of facility according to company policies and procedures by conducting safety sweeps, following forklift spotting procedures, handling and disposing of hazardous materials, following company steel standard guidelines, and correcting and reporting unsafe situations to management.
  • Maintain the sales floor and merchandising presentation in accordance with company policies and procedures by properly zoning the area, stocking and rotating merchandise, removing damaged or out‑of‑date goods, setting up cleaning and organizing product displays, maintaining modular integrity, receiving, sorting, staging, and delivering merchandise. Ensure prominent display of promotional and seasonal merchandise; process defective merchandise following company and regulatory policies and procedures for sanitation and food safety; and monitor the area for shrink, security risks and safety.
  • Ensure club pick‑up orders are filled by assisting with picking orders throughout the day and staging, ensuring products are selected and staged according to company policy and procedures. Ensure Merchandising Associates pick orders within an acceptable timeframe and are staged properly, performing occasional audits for accuracy.
  • Handle inventory moves and displays in safe and correct ways; track goods, maintain in‑stock levels, and control shrinkage in a timely manner; report poor inventory practices and low in‑stock levels in the assigned area; use inventory tools and equipment in safe and correct ways.
  • Operate and maintain forklifts in safe and correct ways; report poor or unsafe conditions or practices in assigned areas; inform management when forklifts are not in proper working condition.
  • Proactively identify customers who need help, actively engage them, assist them with technology services and items, model and help others with technology services, identify shrink opportunities and problems, and take steps to fix the problem. Properly maintain equipment and ensure products are organized and stocked in correct ways, promptly fixing any problems.

Compensation

The hourly wage range for this position is $20.00 to $28.00. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances.
