Job summary

Old Dominion Freight Line, Inc. is seeking a Customer Service Representative to join our OD family culture. This role provides exceptional service in a high-call-volume service center and supports other team members in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements include a High School diploma, 1 year of customer service experience, strong communication skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office. AS400 experience is preferred, with opportunities to advance within our extensive OD network.

Qualifications

• 1 year of customer service experience, preferably in transportation.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• AS400 experience preferred.
• Ability to handle multiple requests and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrated aptitude for quickly learning new systems and processes.

Responsibilities

• Answer phones and respond to emails in a courteous and timely manner.
• Provide rate quotes, sales bids, shipment status, and assist with Bills of Lading and labeling freight.
• Respond to customer issues and questions promptly.
• Provide Service 2.OD to internal and external customers.
• May assist with general office duties such as mailing, filing and copying.
• Scan documents into the computer system.
