Job summary

The DeWitt Companies are hiring for a full-time On-Site Dispatch/Operations role in the United States. You will schedule, dispatch, and monitor drivers for inbound and outbound deliveries, plan efficient routes to reduce delays and costs, and adapt schedules as needed.

You will coordinate with warehouse and customer service teams and track shipments in real time to keep customers informed. Ideal candidates have 1–3 years in transportation or logistics, strong communication, and proficiency with

Qualifications

• 1–3 years experience in transportation, dispatching, or logistics (preferred).
• Must possess positive team-work attitude and open to learning opportunities.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment and manage time-sensitive tasks.
• Proficiency with TMS platforms, and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Schedule, dispatch, and monitor drivers for inbound and outbound deliveries.
• Plan efficient routes to minimize delays, fuel usage, and overall transportation costs.
• Adjust schedules quickly when delays or unexpected issues arise.
• Coordinate with warehouse, customer service, and logistics teams for load prep and on-time departures.
• Track shipments in real time and provide updates to internal teams and customers.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for drivers regarding routing, instructions, and load information.
• Communicate service issues proactively and provide solutions to prevent service failures.
• Build strong relationships with drivers, vendors, carriers, and customers.
• Enter and update system with dispatch details, load statuses, and notes.

System & Administrative Tasks

• Enter and update system with dispatch details, load statuses, and notes.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years experience in transportation, dispatching, or logistics (preferred).
