Job summary

Dynamic Logistix LLC in Overland Park, KS is seeking a Freight Claims Specialist to manage processing, investigation, and resolution of freight claims. You will gather documentation, analyze loss and damage, and negotiate settlements with claimants.

Requires at least one year in the transportation and logistics industry and working knowledge of freight claims practices. You will provide clients with regular updates on outstanding claims and help improve processing efficiency.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred
• At least 1 year in the transportation and logistics industry
• At least 1 year in a freight claims role preferred

Responsibilities

• Process and file freight claims
• Negotiate and settle claims directly with the claimants
• Help improve current training process, materials, and assist in increasing efficiency
• Work diligently to get freight claims paid in a timely manner
• Investigate and analyze product exceptions to determine liability, mitigate loss and provide updates of freight
• Investigate and analyze overage and high value shortage exceptions to determine location and state of freight
• Identify and gather documents and materials related to customer claims such as product information, manuals, warning labels, packaging, certificates of insurance, test reports, changes in product design and other evidentiary documents
• Provide weekly reporting to clients on outstanding claims
• Update claims website with latest information from carriers
• Other duties as assigned
