Job summary

American Logistics in Jacksonville, FL, seeks a seasoned freight claims professional with 5+ years in broker, 3PL, or motor carrier environments to own end-to-end claims from intake to resolution.

You will negotiate with carriers and insurance adjusters, coordinate cargo coverage, review contracts and COIs, and report aging and recovery patterns to management.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of freight claims experience in broker, 3PL, or motor carrier environments.
• Working knowledge of the Carmack Amendment (49 U.S.C. § 14706) and cargo liability principles.
• Direct insurance adjuster negotiation experience.
• Ability to interpret carrier and customer contracts and a cargo COI for coverage gaps.
• FMCSA regulatory knowledge: carrier authority, insurance requirements, broker obligations.
• Strong written communication; draft claim letters and denial responses without attorney review on routine matters.
