Job summary

Railmark Rail Services Inc in Mississippi seeks a Freight Car Repair Technician to inspect and repair rail cars, weld where needed, and work both inside and outside railcars in all weather. This role requires willingness to work variable days and possibly seven days a week.

You will join a hands-on team in Iuka, MS, with opportunities for overtime when demand rises and benefits including 401(k) plans, health and dental insurance, and paid time off.

Qualifications

• 2 years railroad experience required.
• Welding certification preferred.
• TWIC card required or obtainable.
• Able to work variable days and up to 7 days a week.
• Work in all weather and conditions.

Responsibilities

• Inspect rail cars for defects and compliance.
• Perform welding repairs as needed.
• Work inside and outside railcars as required.
• Adhere to safety protocols across weather conditions.

• Inspection of Rail Cars
• Welding repair of cars
• Working inside and outside of railcars
• Work in all weather and conditions
• Any other duties that may arise

Must have or be able to obtain a TWIC card. This job has variable days to work and can be up to 7 days a week. When work is heavy over time will be mandatory.
