You will clean and inspect freight railcars, remove debris, and use cleaning tools while following safety protocols. A strong emphasis on teamwork and reliability will help ensure timely turnaround of cars.

Qualifications

• Requires strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible shifts including nights and weekends.
• Team-oriented with strong communication and safety awareness skills.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and stand, bend, and kneel for extended periods.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Clean and inspect freight railcars to meet operational and safety standards.
• Remove debris, residue, and contaminants from interior and exterior of rail cars.
• Use hand tools, pressure washers, and cleaning equipment to perform thorough car cleaning.
• Follow safety protocols and railroad regulations during all cleaning operations.
• Document and report any damage, defects, or maintenance needs observed on freight cars.
• Work alongside rail yard crew to ensure timely turnaround of cleaned cars.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with company and safety guidelines.
