Cypress Rail Solutions is hiring a Railcar Cleaning Technician to support railcar repair operations in our shop environment. This entry‑level, hands‑on role is ideal for individuals who are ready to work in an industrial setting and build foundational skills in railcar maintenance.

As a Railcar Cleaning Technician, you’ll clean interiors and exteriors, remove residue, and support inspections and repairs, with safety and PPE in place.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
  • Ability to perform physically demanding work in an industrial environment.
  • Strong work ethic and dependability.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Comfortable working in confined spaces and at heights as required.

Responsibilities

  • Perform basic cleaning of railcars using hand tools and approved cleaning agents.
  • Remove commodity residue, debris, and contaminants from railcar interiors and exteriors.
  • Assist in preparing railcars for inspection, repair, and maintenance work.
  • Support shop operations by maintaining clean and organized work areas.
  • Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE at all times.
  • Participate in safety meetings and required training programs.
  • Work under supervision to develop skills and improve efficiency.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
