This position offers a base pay range of $90,000 to $120,000 per year. We are seeking a high-performing Freight Broker with proven experience in perishables and refrigerated freight. This is a remote position, but candidates must be located near Madison, WI (within reasonable driving distance) for occasional in-person collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the full freight brokerage process: prospecting, booking, tracking, and delivery.
• Handle temperature-sensitive loads with precision and urgency.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with shippers and carriers.
• Ensure compliance with all transportation regulations and customer requirements.
• Collaborate with internal teams to optimize logistics solutions.

Qualifications

• 3 to 5+ years of hands-on experience in freight brokerage, specifically in refrigerated/perishable freight.
• Demonstrated success in cradle-to-grave operations, including operational or carrier problem resolution.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency with TMS platforms and load boards.
• Must be based near Madison, WI (within realistic driving distance).
