About the Role:

We are looking for experienced and results-driven Freight Brokers to join our growing team. As a freight broker at MAV Inc., we expect you to bring enthusiasm and confidence to the team. This role functions as the driving force behind our business and is primarily focused on customer acquisition and satisfaction. Becoming a broker at MAV Inc. includes operations support to the degree that you find necessary. We never force any brokers with a book of business into a relationship with operations that they deem uncomfortable. Tremendous help is possible as needed.

Responsibilities:

• Establish and maintain strong, long-term relationships with customers and carriers to ensure the smooth transportation of goods.
• Mediate difficult situations that arise from the normal rigors of shipping.
• Work closely with shippers and carriers to schedule, dispatch, and track loads from origin to destination.
• Negotiate rates with carriers to ensure competitive pricing while maintaining service quality.
• Quickly address and resolve any issues or delays during transit to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Utilize technology to manage freight data, monitor shipments, and keep all relevant parties updated.
• Identify opportunities for business development and expand our client base by generating new leads and building partnerships with potential customers.
• Becoming part of the team and being the face of MAV Inc.

Qualifications:

• Some experience as a Freight Broker with a book of business is required.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.
• Familiarity with freight brokerage software and CRM tools is a plus!
• A self-starter with a proactive and customer-centric mindset.
• Work from anywhere remotely with flexible hours. Local employees are invited to work at our in-person locations.
