Job summary

Armstrong Group is seeking a Ziegenfelder Freezer Lead to supervise a team of Freezer Technicians, ensuring proper palletization, coding accuracy, and on-time processing of orders. The role involves training new hires, coordinating with operations for materials, and maintaining a clean, organized warehouse environment.

You will work with the Plant Director and Supply Team to verify finished goods, coordinate shift handoffs, and ensure inventory accuracy across systems, including Navision.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to supervise and train a team.
• Experience in freezer/warehouse operations.
• Strong attention to product codes and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Freezer Technicians and cover Team Leads when absent.
• Pad and palletize finished products, ensure correct stacking and tagging.
• Process sales orders and transfers for shipping; wrap pallets with stretch film.

Job description

A Ziegenfelder Freezer Lead is responsible for:

• Supervising a team of Freezer Technicians when Team Leads are absent.
• Supervising a team of Freezer Technicians to palletize and move finished product.
• Pulling finished products from the production conveyor belt and stacking on pallets properly.
• Checking all products to ensure proper coding.
• Ensuring proper amount of product is neatly stacked on pallets and all boxes on the pallet meet quality standards.
• Process and ready all sales orders and transfers for shipping.
• Wrapping palletized product with plastic stretch wrap.
• Ensuring proper tags are printed and posted on all palletized products.
• Ensuring that inventory is accurate by properly counting and entering in appropriate inventory tracking systems.
• Complete daily RPO’s in Navision
• Engage and train new hire freezer techs on proper loading and unloading procedures.
• Ensure and train freezer techs on pulling, scanning, and processing orders using scan guns (Navision)
• Ensuring all palletized product is properly located in warehouse for picking.
• Picking palletized product for shipping.
• Communicating with operations to ensure correct amount of raw materials are readily available for each shift.
• Communication with members of the Supply Team and Plant Director.
• Communication with the production Team Leader to verify finished goods.
• Communication with the oncoming Freezer Team Lead to debrief from prior shift.
• Maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
