Job summary

Armstrong Group seeks a A Ziegenfelder Freezer Lead to supervise freezer technicians, train new hires, and coordinate palletizing, tagging, and shipping of finished products. You will ensure inventory accuracy, process sales orders in Navision, and maintain clear communication with operations and leadership.

Key focus areas include supervision during shifts, proper loading and unloading procedures, and ensuring on-time readiness of orders for distribution across the plant’s output.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising freezer/warehouse teams preferred.
• Ability to train new hires on loading/unloading procedures.
• Experience with Navision for picking, scanning, and order processing.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Freezer Technicians when Team Leads are absent.
• Oversee palletizing and moving finished product.
• Pull finished products from conveyors and stack on pallets.
• Check products for proper coding and quality on pallets.
• Process and ready sales orders and transfers for shipping.
• Wrap palletized product with stretch wrap and ensure tagging.
• Maintain accurate inventory counts in each tracking system.
• Complete daily RPO’s in Navision.
• Train new hires on loading/unloading procedures.
• Ensure palletized products are correctly located and picked for shipping.
• Communicate with Operations and Plant Director on material needs and outputs.

Job description

A Ziegenfelder Freezer Lead is responsible for:· Supervising a team of Freezer Technicians when Team Leads are absent.· Supervising a team of Freezer Technicians to palletize and move finished product.· Pulling finished products from the production conveyor belt and stacking on pallets properly.· Checking all products to ensure proper coding.· Ensuring proper amount of product is neatly stacked on pallets and all boxes on the pallet meet quality standards.· Process and ready all sales orders and transfers for shipping.· Wrapping palletized product with plastic stretch wrap.· Ensuring proper tags are printed and posted on all palletized products.· Ensuring that inventory is accurate by properly counting and entering in appropriate inventory tracking systems.· Complete daily RPO’s in Navision· Engage and train new hire freezer techs on proper loading and unloading procedures.· Ensure and train freezer techs on pulling, scanning, and processing orders using scan guns (Navision)· Ensuring all palletized product is properly located in warehouse for picking.· Picking palletized product for shipping.· Communicating with operations to ensure correct amount of raw materials are readily available for each shift.· Communication with members of the Supply Team and Plant Director.· Communication with the production Team Leader to verify finished goods.· Communication with the oncoming Freezer Team Lead to debrief from prior shift.· Maintaining a clean and organized work environment.Who We AreThe Armstrong Group is a family owned and operated collection of diverse companies.
