Job summary

The Ziegenfelder Company is looking for a Freezer Technician in Vineyard Hills, West Virginia. You will be responsible for ensuring the quality and organization of palletized products, operating forklifts, and maintaining the warehouse environment.

This position requires a high school diploma and 1-3 years of warehouse experience. The starting pay is $15.00/hour, and benefits begin after 60 days of employment.

Job description

Essential FunctionsA Ziegenfelder Freezer Technician is responsible for:Pulling finished products from the production conveyor belt and stacking on pallets properly.Checking all products to ensure proper coding.Ensuring the proper amount of product is neatly stacked on pallets and all boxes on the pallet meet quality standards.Ensuring organization in the warehouse using the (FIFO – First in - First out) method.Wrapping palletized product with plastic stretch wrap.Ensuring proper tags are printed and posted on all palletized products.Ensuring that inventory is properly entered in appropriate inventory tracking systems.Ensuring all palletized product is properly located in warehouse for picking.Picking palletized product for shipping.Communicating with operations to ensure the correct amount of raw materials are readily available for each shift.Assisting with unloading all raw materials.Picking, shipping, and receiving of raw and finished goods.Assessing production to ensure adequate supplies to operate efficiently.Assisting with maintaining adequate inventory, scheduling, and receiving shipments of raw materials.Ensuring compliance with all federal, state, local, and Ziegenfelder environmental, health, and safety directives, policies, and procedures.Maintaining a clean and organized work environment.Perform other duties as assigned.Qualifications and Education RequirementsHigh School diploma or equivalent.Must be 18 years of age or older.1 - 3 years of warehouse experience.Demonstrated ability to read, write and speak English.Demonstrated ability to operate electric powered forklifts and electric powered pallet jacks.Must be able to work in cold temperatures.Must be available to work all shifts to include weekends and holidays.Physical AbilitiesPossesses visual acuity to safely operate forklifts and pallet jacks.May need to exert up to 50 lbs. of force occasionally, up to 30 lbs. of force frequently, and up to 10 lbs. of force constantly.May need to climb, balance, stoop, crouch, reach, stand, push, and pull frequently during a shift.Working ConditionsSubject to cold temperatures of less than 32F for more than one hour with proper protection equipment.May be subject to noise above 85 decibels with proper protection equipment.Compensation & BenefitsStarting Pay: $15.00/hourSchedule: 40 hours per week with consecutive set days offBenefits: Begin on the first day after 60 days of employment401(k) with company matchingPaid holidaysWho We AreThe Armstrong Group is a family owned and operated collection of diverse companies.
