Job summary

Dessert Holdings, a leading premium dessert company, is hiring a Freezer Operator on the 2nd shift. You will handle WIP inventory, stock placement, and cycle counts in a fast-paced, freezer environment while following SOPs and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and write in English or Spanish.
• Capable of standing for long periods and lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Comfort with fast-paced, team-based manufacturing environments.

Responsibilities

• Count work-in-process product from production to WIP freezer.
• Ensure product is covered, stored properly, and tracked by qty/location.
• Conduct daily cycle counts and maintain accurate inventory records.
• Stage WIP for operations and monitor freezer movement.
• Ensure quality control with safe handling and SOP adherence.

What You'll Do Everyday

• Properly count work in process product from production place into WIP Freezer
• Ensure Product is covered and properly put away and tracked qty and location
• Conduct cycle counts daily for correct inventory
• Stages WIP product for operations
• Tracks the qty and product in and out of the WIP Freezer
• Responsible for quality control; no damage product allowed into freezer and must be properly stored
• Operates within standard operating procedures (SOPs)
• Safely utilize pallet jacks
• Completes shift logs of product in and out of WIP freezer
• Cleans and maintains work area clean at all times
• Turns off and locks out equipment when not in use
• Understands the management of Quality Systems and is familiar with SQF, HACCP, and GMP practices which help ensure the safety within the workplace and the production of a safe and quality product(s)

What We're Looking For

• Must have reliable transportation and be able to work a flexible schedule
• Must be willing to work overtime, including weekends if necessary.
• Must be able to read and write in either English or Spanish.
• Must be able to work in a fast paced, team environment.
• Must be able to work in Freezer environment
• Must be able to work in a manufacturing environment requiring strict work/safety rules 100% of the time.
• Must be able to work in Freezer environments
• Able to stand for at least ten hours per day and may have various repetitive motion duties
• Use hands and fingers to handle objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms
• Must be able to stoop, kneel or bend. Employee must lift up to 50 pounds and is required to ask for assistance if limit is exceeded
• Must be able to keep eyes focused on a conveyor belt for a maximum five hours at one time
• Must be able to work in a food allergens environment
