Job summary

Dessert Holdings Inc. is seeking a Freezer Operator for the 2nd shift to manage WIP from production to freezer, track inventory, and ensure proper storage.

You will follow SOPs, operate pallet jacks, and maintain clean, safe work areas in a fast-paced, team environment. The role requires the ability to read and write in English or Spanish, reliable transportation, and willingness to work overtime, including weekends.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and write in either English or Spanish.
• Must have reliable transportation and be able to work a flexible schedule.
• Must be able to work in Freezer environment.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and ask for assistance if needed.
• Must be able to stand for long hours in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

• Count work in process from production to WIP Freezer.
• Ensure product is covered, tracked, and stored.
• Conduct daily cycle counts for inventory accuracy.
• Stage WIP product for operations and logistics.
• Maintain clean work area and document shift logs.
• Adhere to SOPs and operate pallet jacks safely.
• Understand SQF, HACCP, and GMP practices for safety and quality.

What You’ll Do Everyday

• Properly count work in process product from production place into WIP Freezer
• Ensure Product is covered and properly put away and tracked qty and location
• Conduct cycle counts daily for correct inventory
• Stages WIP product for operations
• Tracks the qty and product in and out of the WIP Freezer
• Responsible for quality control; no damage product allowed into freezer and must be properly stored
• Operates within standard operating procedures (SOPs)
• Safely utilize pallet jacks
• Completes shift logs of product in and out of WIP freezer
• Cleans and maintains work area clean at all times
• Turns off and locks out equipment when not in use
• Understands the management of Quality Systems and is familiar with SQF, HACCP, and GMP practices which help ensure the safety within the workplace and the production of a safe and quality product(s)

What We’re Looking For

• Must have reliable transportation and be able to work a flexible schedule
• Must be willing to work overtime, including weekends if necessary.
• Must be able to read and write in either English or Spanish.
• Must be able to work in a fast paced, team environment.
• Must be able to work in Freezer environment
• Must be able to work in a manufacturing environment requiring strict work/safety rules 100% of the time.
• Must be able to work in Freezer environments
• Able to stand for at least ten hours per day and may have various repetitive motion duties
• Use hands and fingers to handle objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms
• Must be able to stoop, kneel or bend. Employee must lift up to 50 pounds and is required to ask for assistance if limit is exceeded
• Must be able to keep eyes focused on a conveyor belt for a maximum five hours at one time
• Must be able to work in a food allergens environment
