Job Overview

$7,500 Hiring Bonus! Performs and inspects preventive maintenance and repair of equipment and machinery under supervision. Requires continual learning to maintain and repair robotic equipment in an ever‑changing field. Must apply pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical principles to all equipment in the Freezers. Expected to read blueprints and schematics. Work in a fast‑paced, highly demanding environment with safe operation at heights >120' and in temperatures of –20°.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Sprinkler System – Troubleshoot, replace, disassemble, repair, perform scheduled and unscheduled preventive and predictive maintenance, and overhaul all equipment associated with the Sprinkler System, including heads, piping, and valves in Chase Way.
  • Hi‑Rise – Troubleshoot, replace, disassemble, repair, perform scheduled and unscheduled preventive and predictive maintenance, and overhaul all equipment associated with the Hi‑Rise system, including all eleven cranes, HK roller conveyors, North inbound/outbound conveyor systems, product code scanners, and pallet sizers.
  • HK 7‑aisle and 4‑aisle Crane Systems – Troubleshoot, replace, disassemble, repair, perform scheduled and unscheduled preventive and predictive maintenance, and overhaul all associated equipment. Include diagnosing mechanical and electrical circuitry malfunctions using visual and auditory senses, testing systems, and using technical publications.
  • Robotics – With assistance as needed, troubleshoot, replace, disassemble, repair, perform scheduled and unscheduled preventive and predictive maintenance, and overhaul all equipment associated with the Kuka Robots, including trunk lines, pallet conveyors, product conveyors, spirals, and sealers/wrappers. Assist Process Controls with modifications and creation of PAL files.
  • Intecs – Troubleshoot, replace, disassemble, repair, perform scheduled and unscheduled preventive and predictive maintenance, and overhaul all equipment associated with Intec 1 and Intec 2, including in‑feed tracks/conveyors, carousel conveyors, South Track Room auto‑taggers and wrappers, palletizer auto‑tagger and wrapper. Assist Process Controls with modifications or upgrades on the palletizer and be responsible for out‑feed conveyors from both Intecs.
  • Coordinate with supply, production, and other engineering personnel to improve procedures and resolve problems. Create maintenance plans to meet operational commitments and review maintenance data to determine trends and production effectiveness. Actively participate in continuous improvement training and recommend improvements as identified.
  • Dock and Load‑out Areas – Troubleshoot, replace, disassemble, repair, perform scheduled and unscheduled preventive and predictive maintenance, and overhaul all equipment associated with the Dock and Load‑out areas, including all dock locks, dock plates, overhead doors, racking system, walk‑through doors, and dock levelers. Welding tasks may be required throughout the area.
  • High Frequency Drives – With assistance, replace and set up High Frequency Drives on all robotic, crane, intec, and palletizer systems. Troubleshoot and repair HF drives.
Pay & Shift

Pay starts at $36.00/hr for Tech 1 and can progress to $38.26/hr at Tech 5. Nights only: shift starts between 5:00 AM and 6:30 AM, with a typical length of 10–12 hours.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent GED, journeyman's license, or a 2‑year degree (preferred).
  • Previous mechanical experience is essential; electrical and maintenance experience is preferred.
  • Emerging understanding of mechanical concepts and applications; must pass the written assessment for Electric Tech 1.
  • Ability to interpret blueprints, schematics, mechanical drawings, and P&ID drawings.
